Capital Lending Platform

Customer

The customer is a financial technology company that works with professional advisors to help businesses access capital for growth, investment and acquisition.

Challenge

The customer decided to create an online solution to provide professional investors with attractive yield derived from a pool of carefully selected small and midsized enterprises (‘SMEs’) and SMEs with a new funding source. In close consultation with a group of investors, banks, advisors and other stakeholders in the business financing landscape they established a smart and robust infrastructure to provide loans to profitable SMEs.

The loans will be rated and carefully evaluated. The whole origination, rating and approval process including subsequent monitoring of the loans is functional on behalf of a loan portfolio. Using the new solution customer as asset advisor will act as specialised and dedicated loan processing intermediary on behalf of this investment vehicle.

Solution

A team of a business analyst and system architect investigated the business processes and needs as well as SME requirements and created a set of technical documentation including detailed functional specification and system architecture. Using UX best practices, a modern and user-friendly UI prototype was created. Team of 5 developers developed the lending platform based on created mockups and defined architecture. The app was manually and load tested by QA engineers and released into the cloud environment.

Results

OB&T performed full-cycle of application development: from analysis and application architecture/logic implementation to performing testing and integrations activities. Solution was securely deployed onto the cloud servers with load balancing mechanism and restricted server access.
